Croatia’s popularity among Britons continues to soar, with the country’s tourist board recently reporting a 36 per cent increase in overnight stays by UK travellers during the first half of this year. And it’s not all down to Game of Thrones (though that has helped). Here are 23 reasons why we’re flocking there in record numbers.
1. It’s hot
Let’s get the obvious ones out of the way. Croatia is one of Europe’s sunniest spots – just take a look at the outlook for Dubrovnik.
